In our hotels, we constantly monitor the development of the coronavirus COVID-19 in Finland and around the world. For us at IHG Hotels, the most important thing is the well-being, health and safety of our guests and team members. And we have working models, plans and routines to achieve these. We make every effort to ensure that our guests feel safe when staying or visiting our hotels.

VISIT US SAFELY

We follow the instructions of the local health authorities in our hotels. We will act in accordance to our plans and procedures if COVID-19 infections are found in our hotels. Our team members are fully trained for possible situations in our hotel and you can rely on their abilities.

Hygiene and cleanliness are always important in our hotels. We also emphasize good hand hygiene as directed by local health authorities. We have strict hand hygiene practices for our team members before eating, cooking and after going to the toilet. We also instruct our guests to wash their hands frequently with soap and warm water.

In the summer of 2020, IHG® Hotels & Resorts launched the IHG Clean Promise promise.

HOW WE WORK IN GENERAL:

  • We follow the general guidelines and recommendations of the health authorities regarding the COVID 19 situation, and we also use the company's own guidelines.
  • We have increased cleaning and hygiene measures. We effectively disinfect various contact surfaces such as door handles, payment terminals, reception desks and elevator buttons with antibacterial detergents.
  • We pay even more attention than usual to hand hygiene, which we also encourage our guests to do. Hand gloves are available in the public areas of our hotel.
  • Transparent plexiglasses have been installed at the reception desks to protect both our guests and team members.
  • We recommend card payment instead of cash.
  • We remind our guests to keep a safe distance and make sure that too large groups of people do not form in the common areas.
  • We want to protect the health of our guests and team members - so we ask you not to visit us if you have even mild flu symptoms.
  • We encourage our team members to stay home with even the slightest symptom of the disease.
  • We will act in accordance with plans and policies if a coronavirus is found in our hotels. Our team members are trained in hotel situations and we rely on their abilities.

USE OF FACE MASK IN OUR HOTELS

  • Based on THL's recommendations, our staff has face masks, especially in work tasks where it is not possible to avoid close contacts.
  • We also offer our staff a face mask for business trips between home and work.
  • In accordance with local regulations, a face covering over your nose and mouth is also required for our guests while in the hotel’s public spaces. Our hotels also offer complimentary guests face masks.

RESTAURANT SERVICES

  • Our hotels offer a rich breakfast buffet. If you prefer to have breakfast in your room, you can order breakfast as room service. Contact the hotel for more information. Local changes are possible in terms of buffet content and service. 
  • We have taken care of safety distances by reducing customer seats and introducing additional facilities. Please keep enough distance to others.
  • In accordance with local health authority THL's recommendations, our staff use face masks, especially in work tasks where it is not possible to avoid close contact.
  • The tables are cleaned after each guest. We disinfect various contact surfaces in an efficient way, such as door handles, payment terminals, children's high chairs.
  • We encourage everyone to use good hand hygiene and visiting hand disinfection station before arriving at the restaurant - you will find it near the restaurant entrance.
  • Hand disinfection stations and disposable gloves are available in restaurants.

  • Please do not arrive at our hotel if you have any mild flu symptoms.
  • We will act in accordance with plans and policies if a coronavirus is found in our hotels. Our team members are trained in hotel situations and we rely on their abilities.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE COVID-19 - WHICH ANYONE CAN FOLLOW

  • Wash your hands often and thoroughly
  • Use hand gloves when available
  • Avoid unnecessary hand contact
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or nose
  • Cough and sneeze your sleeve
  • Keep at least two meters away from a coughing or sneezing person
  • We request using a face mask in the hotel's public areas and restaurant, except while eating or drinking

Safety is our top priority and we do our best to make our guests feel safe when staying or visiting our hotels.
