The Crowne Plaza Helsinki has been voted Finland's best business hotel for 2014.
The Crowne Plaza Helsinki hotel has once again picked up an award at the World Travel Awards™ event. In this year's vote, the hotel won the title of "Finland’s Leading Business Hotel". The internationally respected World Travel Awards™, seen as the Oscar gala of the travel industry, took place for the 21st time in Athens, Greece. The World Travel Awards, set up in 1993, encourages and recognizes the outstanding players in the travel industry and celebrates the successful brands in their fields.

The Crowne Plaza Helsinki hotel has once again picked up an award at the World Travel Awards™ event. In this year's vote, the hotel won the title of "Finland’s Leading Business Hotel". The internationally respected World Travel Awards™, seen as the Oscar gala of the travel industry, took place for the 21st time in Athens, Greece. The World Travel Awards, set up in 1993, encourages and recognizes the outstanding players in the
travel industry and celebrates the successful brands in their fields.

The Crowne Plaza Helsinki hotel has won awards before as well at the World Travel Awards™ event; winning the title of "Finland’s Leading Hotel" four times in a row from 2008 to 2011. The World Travel Awards™ award is given as a recognition of the top expertise and commitment that the company has demonstrated during the last twelve months. Over 200,000 travel industry professionals around the world took part in the voting. The World Travel Awards candidates are chosen by an independent travel industry expert panel.

"It's great to get a recognition like this for the hotel yet again," says the hotel's General Manager Saija Savela-Palovaara. "The services and facilities that have been refined through the ongoing revamp of the Crowne Plaza chain have clearly had a positive reception. Our development work has therefore been in the right direction. The award, which is internationally very well known in the travel field, is in a class of its own in terms of increasing the motivation to continue on the same track," adds Savela-Palovaara.

This year, the Crowne Plaza brand is undergoing a worldwide renewal programme, the objective of which is to position the chain into the ’upper upscale’ tier. The new hallmarks being taken into use in the autumn will strengthen the focus on the well-being and needs of business travelers alongside the current Sleep Advantage and Crowne Plaza Meetings programmes.
